Getting to Know Us

The officers and members of the General Winder Chapter cordially invite all ladies qualified for membership to join us for our monthly luncheon meetings. We meet the third Wednesday of the month excluding summer and December. It is the work of our chapter to help the Daughters of the American Revolution accomplish their goals of: historic preservation, education, and patriotism.

Our membership is made up of native Eastern Shore residents, newcomers, and ladies residing from lower Delaware to southern Worcester County. They bring to us a variety of experiences, from housewives, teachers, business women and retirees from a number of professions.

Every even year in April, our chapter elects new officers. The officers are installed in May and serve for a term of two years. The current officers are serving until May of 2020 and are:

Regent Gail Pusey Weldin
Vice Regent Janet Lee Townsend Simpson
Chaplain Barbara Carole Ratcliff Rusko
Recording Secretary Barbara Ann Greene May
Corresponding Secretary Laura Diane Kerbin
Treasurer Patricia Simpson Arata
Registrar Elizabeth Fastige Sharpless
Historian Teresa Jean Smith
Librarian Carol Ann Kniseley Morrison
Special Delegate Joan Paula Snider Chambers
