Our Patriot- Mary Digges Lee

Mary Digges Lee was born at "Mellwood Park" in Prince George's County. She married Thomas Lee who served as the second governor of Maryland. During the Revolutionary War, she organized other women to gather and donate money and supplies to Revolutionary War soldiers. (Source: Maryland State Archives, Maryland Women's Hall of Fame.)
